COD High Temperature Model 3548
COD Furnace Gauge (1200 °C or 1600 °C)
-
High-temperature COD gauge designed for use with specimens that include slots for ceramic rods.
-
Water-cooled and furnace-mounted, these units are intended for operation up to 1200 °C (2200 °F). The high-temperature option allows use up to 1600 °C (2900 °F).
-
They are specifically designed for fracture mechanics testing.
-
These COD gauges are mounted on a water-cooled fixture, which is installed on a side-entry furnace, with an optional load cell integrated into the fixture.
.
The standard temperature version (up to 1200 °C) is supplied with high-purity alumina rods. The high-temperature option is equipped with silicon carbide rods. Rods are manufactured to order according to the required length for your furnace.
.
Mounting fixtures can be integrated with the furnace. Epsilon can also provide optional mounting fixtures to fit your testing frame. For optimal performance, specimen contact edges should be slightly rounded (not sharp).
.
Model 3548COD extensometers are strain-gage devices compatible with any electronics designed for strain gauge transducers. They are frequently connected to a testing machine controller
The extensometer is supplied with the appropriate connector and wiring for direct integration with the electronics.
.
For systems lacking the necessary electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders, or other equipment.
