Vertical Rotational Torsion Testing Machines
The KM.3 series vertical rotary torsion testing machines, available in bench-mounted or floor-standing configurations with torque capacities of up to 1,000 Nm, are primarily designed for torque measurement at constant or variable speeds on specimens, individual components, and complete products.
.
These machines are suitable for research and development, standard quality control in laboratories and production environments, as well as for semi-automated assembly and testing lines.
.
LABORTECH machines are characterized by high test frame stiffness, as well as excellent speed and measurement accuracy in semi-automatic operation.
Key Features of the KM.3 Series:
.
-
- Robust vertical modular frame design with high mechanical strength and durability
- Exceptionally high stiffness and mechanical resistance combined with excellent ergonomics
- Torsion mechanism integrated at the top or bottom of the machine, depending on the application
- Quiet and precise AC servo drive with cycloidal gearbox, offering low noise, high angular resolution, and a maximum angular rotation of ±180°
- Compliance with all relevant CE directives for machinery and equipment, operating in accordance with safety functions per EN ISO 13850-SIL 1 / PL
- Controlled via EDCi series measurement and control electronics with sampling rates of 2.5 or 10 kHz and an analog signal resolution of ±250,000 divisions (20 ms)
- Protective safety enclosures made of ITEM profiles and high-safety polycarbonate in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1/2, or safety barriers
- Machine control and configuration via LCD touchscreen interface
- Complete KMTest software for torsion material testing evaluation and control – BASIC (Module R) or as an extension of FAROTest software
- Wide range of accessories: test mandrels, fixtures, grips, etc.
The KM.3 vertical rotary torsion series is ideal for static testing of:
-
- Torsional dampers
- Dual-mass flywheels
- Coupling blades and flexible coupling elements
- Engine drive shafts
- Engine bearings
