Vertical Angular Torsion Machine

The KM.1 series electromechanical vertical torsion testing machines, featuring a rigid load frame design and torque capacities of up to 5,000 Nm, are primarily intended for measuring torque and friction torque, including rotation angle, on both components and complete products, with the capability to perform testing through the zero point.

 .

They are suitable for research and development, routine quality control in laboratories and production environments, as well as for semi-automated assembly and testing lines.

 .

LABORTECH machines are characterized by extremely high frame stiffness, as well as high speed and precision in semi-automatic testing modes.

KM.1 Series Features:

    • Robust vertical modular frame design with high mechanical strength and durability
    • Exceptionally high stiffness and mechanical resistance combined with excellent ergonomics
    • Torsion mechanism integrated at the top or bottom of the machine, depending on the application
    • Quiet and precise AC servo drive with cycloidal gearbox, offering low noise, high angular resolution, and a maximum angular rotation of ±180°
    • Compliance with all relevant CE directives for machinery and equipment, including safety functions according to EN ISO 13850-SIL 1 / PL
    • Torque sensors operating in accuracy classes according to EN ISO 7500-1 and ASTM E4, including linearization capability
    • Controlled by EDCi series measurement and control electronics with sampling rates of 2.5 or 10 kHz and an analog signal resolution of ±250,000 divisions (20 ms)
    • Protective safety enclosures made of ITEM profiles and high-safety polycarbonate in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1/2, or safety barriers
    • Machine control and configuration via LCD touchscreen
    • Comprehensive KMTest software for torsion testing evaluation and control
    • Wide range of accessories: test mandrels, fixtures, holders, grips, etc.

The KM.1 vertical angular torsion series is ideal for static testing of components such as:

    • Torsional dampers
    • Dual-mass flywheels
    • Coupling elements and flexible laminations
    • Medical technology products
    • Fasteners and connectors
    • Engine drive shafts
    • Engine bearings
