Creep Testing Machines with Lever and Weight Mechanism

 


 

 

 

LABORTECH offers testing machines for long-term C.1 tests, where a constant load is obtained by means of a lever mechanism and a weight. 

 

All modifications to the CREEP C.1 testing systems that we manufacture are designed so that the customer can fully rely on their operation and accuracy under long-term constant load (material flow) with force or tension, including elongation, and at a homogeneous and constant temperature in a high-temperature oven, with reliable results, even after 100,000 hours of continuous load.

Test Types and Standards:

  • Materials testing machines for classical creep testing with constant gravitational force
  • Test types: crack growth/propagation tests, creep rupture tests, rupture tests, and classical creep tests
  • Applicable standards: ISO 204, ASTM E139, EN 2002-005, ASTM E1457
  • Suitable for any force-controlled loading application

 

Machine Design:

  • Vertical floor-standing design with high stiffness, guaranteed mechanical alignment, and long service life
  • Constant load application via lever mechanism, dead weights, and gravitational force for over 100,000 hours
  • Machine design compliant with EN ISO 204, ASTM E292, ASTM E139, GOST 10145, GOST 3248
  • Durable vibration-damping pads to prevent transmission of vibrations
  • Automatic test termination after specimen rupture
  • Automatic leveling of the lever mechanism to the horizontal position
  • Accuracy class 1 according to ISO 7500-2 (-4 to 100% of nominal load)

 

Machine Operation and Control:

  • Integrated SIEMENS LCD touchscreen in the machine frame for easy and user-friendly operation
  • Controlled by SIEMENS S7-1200 measurement and control electronics
  • Sampling rate: 1000 Hz; analog signal resolution: ±32,000 divisions
  • PC connectivity via Modbus TCP communication
  • Connection of SIEMENS TC-22 temperature controller via Modbus RTU
  • Integrated UPS unit to protect against power failures

 

Axial Coaxiality:

  • Coaxiality setup according to ASTM E1012
  • Knife-edge supports contributing to axial alignment in accordance with ISO 204, ASTM E292, ASTM E139, and NADCAP requirements
  • Articulated gripping (knife-edge supports) at two points
  • System equipped with BENTROD unit for evaluation and optimization of concentricity and edge alignment correction

 

High-Temperature Furnace:

    • Special heating coils designed for long-term testing, with separate thermocouples ensuring excellent temperature field homogeneity
      • SIEMENS TC-22 temperature controller with precise regulation, integrated into the machine frame
        • Wide temperature range with tolerances exceeding ISO 204 and ASTM E139 requirements
          • One, two, or three thermocouples, depending on specimen length, material, and geometry

             

            Control Software:

            • Integrated and intuitive LOTETest software ensuring full machine control (including gradual weight release)
            • Data acquisition and visualization of force (if equipped with load cell), elongation, and specimen temperature over time
            • CREEPTest software for advanced data acquisition, database storage, and custom method creation

             

            Safety:

            • LABORTECH machines are designed and manufactured in compliance with all relevant CE directives for machinery and equipment
            • Only state-of-the-art safety technologies and proven industrial components are used, in accordance with standards such as:
