Creep Testing Machines for Quasi-Dynamic Cyclic Testing


 

 

The C.5 series electromechanical CREEP testing machines, featuring a vertical floor-standing design with capacities of up to 250 kN, are designed for quasi-dynamic cyclic testing and long-term testing applications. 

 

Precise constant load application with the possibility of cycles up to 2 Hz is ensured by a central loading mechanism consisting of a ball screw and a specially mounted precision cycloidal gearbox with an integrated AC servo drive. 

 

These machines are suitable for both classical and advanced creep testing, stress relaxation testing, and related applications under stable, homogeneous temperature conditions in a high-temperature furnace. They deliver reliable results even after 10,000 hours of continuous loading, requiring maximum precision in force control and axial alignment.

Test Types and Standards:

    • Electromechanical testing machine for evaluating material creep behavior under ambient and elevated temperature conditions
    • Test types: fatigue tests in the above-zero range (quadrants I and III), low-speed creep tests, ductility and stress relaxation tests, classical creep tests, deformation modeling, crack growth and propagation tests, hydrogen embrittlement determination, and tests with continuous force and temperature control
    • Applicable standards: EN 2002-005, ISO 204, ASTM E1457, ASTM E139, ASTM F519, ASTM G129
    • Suitable for short-term tensile, compression, and bending tests
    • Applicable to any force-controlled loading application

 

Machine Design:

    • Vertical floor-standing design with high stiffness, guaranteed mechanical coaxiality, durability, and capability for long-term low-cycle fatigue testing from quadrant I to III (via zero crossing)
    • Load application via precision ball screw and special cycloidal gearbox with integrated AC actuator, designed for loading durations exceeding 10,000 hours
    • Machine design compliant with EN 2002-005, ISO 204, ASTM E1457, ASTM E139, ASTM F519, ASTM G129, EN ISO 204, ASTM E292
    • Durable vibration-damping pads to prevent vibration transmission
    • Automatic test termination after specimen rupture, with configurable criteria
    • Accuracy class 1 according to ISO 7500-1 (0.3% to 100% of nominal load)
    • Crosshead prepared for BENTROD alignment system according to ASTM E1012

 

High-Temperature Furnace:

    • Special heating coils designed for long-term testing, with separate thermocouples ensuring excellent temperature field homogeneity
    • SIEMENS TC-22 temperature controller with precise regulation integrated into the machine frame
    • Wide temperature range with tolerances exceeding ISO 204 and ASTM E139 requirements
    • One, two, or three thermocouples depending on specimen length, material, and geometry

 

Control Software:

    • Test & Motion+ – BASIC: intelligent, intuitive, and powerful software designed to increase productivity and test quality in laboratories
    • Optimization and customization of test performance, enabling operators to efficiently measure mechanical properties under tension, compression, and bending in accordance with EN, ISO, DIN, ASTM, and GOST standards
    • Optional modules: closed-loop force control, stress- and strain-controlled creep, stress relaxation testing, user-defined loading cycles (UZD 2)
    • User-friendly operation for both test execution and result evaluation, including integrated temperature control via TC-22
    • Secure data storage via integrated UPS unit
