The EC series universal sheet metal testing machines, available in bench-top or floor-standing versions, are primarily designed for the measurement and testing of deep-drawn sheets using the ERICHSEN method.

These machines are ideal for research and development, as well as for routine quality control in laboratories, testing rooms, and production plants. They support development processes for the characterization of new alloys and processing techniques, as well as subsequent mass production.

LABORTECH machines are characterized by high frame rigidity, as well as fast and accurate measurement in semi-automatic mode.

Features of the EC Series:

 

1. • Robust modular bench or floor-standing design with high mechanical strength and durability.
   • Exceptionally high rigidity and mechanical strength combined with a high level of ergonomics.
   • Integrated clamping mechanism with mechanical or hydraulic clamping.
   • Deflection controlled electromechanically or hydraulically, depending on the load type.
   • EC series machines comply with all relevant CE directives for machinery and operate in accordance with EN ISO 13850 safety standards.
   • Basic machine control via SIEMENS PLC with integrated touchscreen LCD and SMTest-S software, or an advanced FULL version with EDCi series measurement and control electronics, offering sampling rates of 2.5 or 10 kHz, 24-bit resolution, and ±250,000 divisions (20 ms).
   • Complete test evaluation and control through deep drawing testing software – SMTest BASIC or as an extension of SMTest-S.
   • Safety protective covers made of high-strength polycarbonate in accordance with EN ISO 13849.
   • Hydraulic unit diagnostics HALT 18 controlled via standard SIEMENS TOUCH LCD.
