Imetrum Vector Extensometer Video

Vectorial Extensometer by Imetrum used for tensile testing.

With the Imetrum Video Extensometer, longitudinal and transverse strains can be measured in material tests such as tensile and compression testing.

Additional analysis modules are available to determine crack length, including long-term testing and crack surface evaluation, for example in joints.

Vector is an extensometer and analyzer, representing a new concept in strain and extension measurement.
It enables the replacement of multiple sensors with a single industry-specific instrument, reducing processing times while improving measurement accuracy and consistency.

The non-contact Vector range is designed as a clip-on replacement for monotonic material testing.

The appropriate Vector model depends on specimen width, gauge length, and elongation.

Typically, the Vector U70 is designed for small to medium specimens, while the Vector U200 is intended for medium to large specimens.

Accurate

Do you need a measurement system that delivers precise results?
Vector meets and exceeds the requirements of ISO 9513 Class 0.5 and ASTM E83 B-1 standards for extensometers.

Intuitive

Do you need multiple gauge lengths with the simplicity of a clip-on device?

Vector replaces a wide range of measurement sensors—such as clip-on, automatic, and video extensometers—with a single device, often eliminating the need for multiple instruments per testing station.

Automated

Are you looking for a system that ensures your tests comply with required standards?

Vector simplifies operator interaction and enhances test reliability by:

  • Enabling automated, non-contact control
  • Simplifying operator interaction
  • Improving test performance
  • Streamlining workflows
  • Allowing flexibility in user interactions
  • Reducing training requirements
