Description

The Melt Flow Indexer is related to the melted material viscosity. It allows the operator to make an estimation of "mean molecular weight", at the same time gives an indication of "melt flow ability" through a die.

The melt index is defined as the weight or the volume of melted material flowing througha calibrated die, under the effect of a pre-determined force, at constant temperature and for the total time of 10 minutes.

It allows the estimation of the average molecular weight, at the same time giving an indication of melting "flow capacity" by means of a cut.

QualiLine-C precisely determines hundreds of geometrical parameters without slowing the manufacturing process.

Size, shape, position, depth and direction measurements can all be readily made on contours, bores, openings and surfaces and results summaries can be written directly onto each component using an ink-jet printer. 

Falcon has submitted its latest proposal application directly to Brussels under Horizon 2020 Fast Track to Innovation (FTI) programme in a consortium with Nemak Wernigerode GmbH and SST Sensing Ltd. The GasStream is a technology based on gas flow, which is constantly monitoring the interoperability of each product’s hidden channels from the production line, in a cost-effective way, not holding up the production. This allows to filter more effectively the partially or completely blocked channels in the molded parts (eg. cooling systems, cylinder heads, engine blocks).
